Chris Brown Calls for Sentence Reductions for Prisoners Fighting L.A. Wildfires

Chris Brown has called for incarcerated firefighters battling the Los Angeles wildfires to receive sentence reductions in recognition of their bravery.

In an Instagram Story, Brown wrote, “The prisoners who were out there risking they lives need time knocking off their sentences. Just saying.”

Nearly 800 inmate firefighters have been deployed, earning just $1 per hour during active emergencies.

Brown also suggested honoring all first responders with a parade or ceremony for their efforts amid the city’s most destructive fires to date, which have already claimed over 10 lives and caused $50 billion in damages.
