DJ Hed Confirms Ab-Soul's New Album Has Major Heat

Ab-Soul's upcoming album is generating buzz, especially after DJ Hed revealed on HipHopDX's The Bigger Picture series that the project contains some impressive tracks.

DJ Hed emphasized that Ab-Soul has at least two standout songs on the album. Co-host Elliott Wilson added that Ab-Soul's last album, Herbert, was underrated and deserved more attention.

TDE founder Anthony "Top Dawg" Tiffith had previously hinted at new music from Ab-Soul, including a deluxe edition of Herbert and a follow-up album. Adding to the excitement, Ab-Soul announced that NBA star LeBron James would be the A&R for his new project, a role LeBron previously held for 2 Chainz's 2019 album Rap or Go to the League.

In March, Ab-Soul teased the new album with a tongue-in-cheek social media post advising to "archive all your old Instagram posts one week before the first single." Following this advice, Ab-Soul scrubbed his Instagram account, hinting at a significant new release on the horizon.
