Donald Trump Injured After Shooting In Pennsylvania Rally

Former President Donald Trump was injured in a shooting at his rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, on Saturday evening. The incident, investigated as an assassination attempt, occurred around 6:15 PM ET when shots were fired from a rooftop near the rally site.

Trump was hit in the ear but was able to get back on his feet and was whisked away by Secret Service agents. One rally attendee was killed, and two others were critically injured. The shooter was killed by Secret Service agents.

Trump later posted on Truth Social, describing the shooting and expressing gratitude for the quick response from law enforcement. He detailed that a bullet pierced the upper part of his right ear, causing significant bleeding.

President Joe Biden condemned the violence, calling it "sick" and emphasizing the need for unity in the country. He mentioned that he was trying to reach out to Trump to speak with him directly.

The incident has sparked calls for an investigation into the Secret Service's handling of the event. Lawmakers from both parties have expressed their horror and condemned the political violence.
