Grammy CEO Says 'Not Like Us' Is In Consideration For Winning A Grammy

Kendrick Lamar's "Not Like Us" is being tipped for Grammy success by Recording Academy CEO Harvey Mason Jr. The song, a diss track aimed at Drake, has been a massive hit in 2024. Mason Jr. praised the record for its artistry, writing, and talent, indicating that it has strong potential for nomination. Despite its controversial content, Mason Jr. believes that the Academy's voting members will recognize the song's impact and creativity.

"Not Like Us" has become one of Kendrick's biggest hits, topping the Billboard Hot 100 and breaking several streaming records. The song's influence was further highlighted when Kendrick performed it five times in a row at his pop-out concert in Inglewood, uniting various LA gang members on stage. The track's music video, filmed in Compton, features notable artists like Schoolboy Q, Jay Rock, YG, Roddy Ricch, and Mustard.

If "Not Like Us" wins a Grammy, it would be the first rap diss song to achieve this honor, potentially making history at the awards.
