This isn't Kanye's first public connection to the Obamas; he notably appeared in Childish Gambino's "Feels Like Summer" video in an animated form being comforted by Michelle Obama and has had a rocky relationship with Barack Obama.

Besides his provocative comments, Kanye criticized Drake and Universal Music Group CEO Sir Lucian Grainge. He accused Drake of compromising his integrity for a lucrative deal with Universal, suggesting that the deal cost Drake a part of his soul.
