Remble Drops "Where's Remble" After Long Hiatus
San Pedro rapper Remble, known for his unique rap style and as a protégé of the late cult hero Drakeo The Ruler, has released a new single titled "Where's Remble?" after a period of relative inactivity. Over the past few years, Remble has built a significant buzz in the rap scene with his distinctive style, characterized by over-enunciation of every syllable and the use of SAT words, making him sound more like an unusually strict adjunct professor than his street-rap counterparts.
Despite the momentum gained from his 2021 mixtape "It's Remble" and the 2022 collaboration with Lil Yachty on "Rocc Climbing," Remble went silent for about a year and a half, an unusually long hiatus in the world of viral rap. He made occasional appearances, such as on "RIP Hutch," a track from BabyTron's mixtape "Bin Reaper 3: New Testament" that also featured Rico Nasty, and he recently collaborated with singer Blxst on his track "child of GOD."
In "Where's Remble?," the rapper returns to his signature style over a dreamlike music-box beat, delivering lines like, "Do I have to raise my voice for you to hear me?/ If I didn’t extend my hand, could you feel me?" Interestingly, Remble does not appear in the song's video. Instead, the video features a pool party where balloons spell out the track's title, and various individuals lip-sync the lyrics.
Fans of Remble can look forward to more new music from the rapper, as it has been hinted that there's more on the way.
