Ross had previously claimed during a livestream with Akademiks that he had a sexual encounter with Sexyy Red, even referencing a leaked sex tape of the rapper. However, Sexyy Red humorously countered on X (formerly Twitter), suggesting Ross paid her for a sexual experience, which she later denied seriously, stating, "Sike, you couldn't touch me with a stick."

Ross responded by denying any payment for such an encounter, emphasizing that it was his first experience with a black girl but refuted the claim of payment. Additionally, Sexyy Red highlighted receiving lavish gifts from Drake, showcasing her gratitude towards her "rich friends" for their generosity.
