ToryLanez has been sentenced to 10 years in prison after being found guilty of shooting MeganTheeStallion. The rapper's sentencing took place in LA following nearly two full days of hearings.

Initially, Tory faced over 22 years in prison. The sentencing had been postponed multiple times, and at one juncture, Tory pleaded with the judge, saying, "please don't ruin my life, sir." In December, Tory was found guilty of all three charges against him: negligent discharge of a firearm, assault with a semi-automatic firearm, and carrying a loaded and unregistered firearm.

A video from 2020 showed Megan limping near their SUV, leaving a trail of blood. The verdict caused distress among Tory's family, with some shouting in the courtroom. Some were even escorted out. There were concerns that Tory, a Canadian rapper, might be deported, but that hasn't occurred.

After the verdict, a petition supporting Tory grew online, and he hired lawyer Jose Baez for his appeal. Baez, known for acquitting Casey Anthony, expressed confidence in overturning the verdict, citing procedural errors during the trial.
