Xzibit Teases New 'Pimp My Ride' Reboot

Xzibit has ignited a wave of excitement among fans by hinting at a reboot of the beloved TV show Pimp My Ride. The rapper and former host of the show, which originally aired on MTV from 2004 to 2007, shared an Instagram post featuring a classic American muscle car adorned with his name and the teasing tagline, "It's time to get back customizing rides." The post also hinted at a date, May 9, 2024, sparking speculation and enthusiasm about the show’s return.

While fans eagerly anticipate the revival, Xzibit’s relationship with the show's producers has not always been smooth. In 2022, he voiced frustrations with ViacomCBS, claiming that the company made significant profits from the show without fairly compensating him. He detailed issues with not receiving promised percentages from merchandise and adjustments made to avoid paying him for his music's use in the show.

Despite these challenges, the prospect of the show's return has stirred nostalgic excitement and hopes for new, inventive car customizations that the original series was known for. Fans are particularly amused, recalling the show’s extreme customizations, like installing a giant TV on the undercarriage of a car, in line with Xzibit’s iconic catchphrases.
