A$AP Rocky has chosen not to testify in his ongoing trial for the alleged shooting of A$AP Relli. On February 11, 2025, in a Los Angeles courtroom, when Judge Mark Arnold inquired if he wished to waive his right to testify, Rocky responded, "I do in fact, Your Honor."
With this decision, the defense rested its case, and closing arguments are scheduled for February 13, after which the jury will begin deliberations.
Rocky faces two felony counts of assault with a semiautomatic firearm and could be sentenced to up to 24 years in prison if convicted. He has pleaded not guilty, asserting that the firearm in question was a prop used for self-defense. Members of the A$AP Mob, including A$AP Lou and A$AP Twelvyy, have testified in support of Rocky's claim.
The trial has been marked by notable moments, such as Rocky advising A$AP Twelvyy not to disclose the meaning of "AWGE" during testimony, underscoring the tension and high stakes involved.
As the trial approaches its conclusion, the outcome remains uncertain, with significant implications for A$AP Rocky's future.
