Billy McFarland Says Fyre Festival 2 Is Happening and Claims He’s Got the Receipts

Billy McFarland says Fyre Festival 2 is officially in motion.

He claims he’s working with officials in Playa del Carmen, Mexico, to make it happen. According to McFarland, paperwork and email communications prove the collaboration is real.

He posted what he says are receipts to back it all up.

But local authorities are pushing back.

Officials in Playa del Carmen say they have no record of any such event being planned.

“There is no existence of a registry nor plans that would indicate such an event taking place in this municipality,” they said.

McFarland is sticking to his story. He insists the event is locked in and moving forward.

This follows earlier denials from the Isla Mujeres Tourism Board, who also said they weren’t involved.

Skepticism remains high given McFarland’s fraud conviction from the original Fyre Festival.

Many are urging people to be cautious before buying into the hype.
