NY Drill Rapper Kay Flock Convicted of Attempted Murder, Racketeering, and Weapons Charges

New York drill rapper Kay Flock, born Kevin Perez, has been convicted on multiple charges including racketeering conspiracy, firearm use resulting in death, attempted murder, and assault with a dangerous weapon in aid of racketeering.

He was acquitted of the charge of murder in aid of racketeering tied to the 2021 killing of Hwascar Hernandez.

Prosecutors say Perez led the Sev Side/DOA gang and was involved in multiple gang-related shootings, often using his music to threaten rivals and boast about violence.

After the verdict, Kay Flock posted on social media that he "beat the top count," and said even the judge got emotional, expressing relief he avoided a life sentence.

Sentencing is set for July 16, where he faces 20 years to life.
