Following his electrifying Super Bowl LIX halftime performance, Kendrick Lamar has seen a massive spike in streaming numbers across various platforms.
His Drake diss track, Not Like Us, experienced a staggering 430% increase in streams on Spotify shortly after the show. The other nine songs he performed also saw a 175% boost.
SZA, who joined Lamar on stage, benefited as well, with her songs All the Stars and Luther seeing an 80% rise in streams. On Apple Music, Lamar’s tracks dominated the top five positions the next morning, and his album GNX returned to the number one spot.
During his 15-minute set at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, Lamar made several references to his ongoing feud with Drake. At one point, he teased the audience, saying, "I want to perform their favorite song… but you know they love to sue," referencing Drake’s defamation lawsuit against Universal Music Group over Not Like Us.
The performance also featured a surprise appearance by Serena Williams, who Crip Walked on an elevated stage as Not Like Us transitioned into TV Off.
With over 120 million viewers tuning in, the halftime show became one of the most talked-about performances in Super Bowl history. The set included cameos from SZA, DJ Mustard, and a narration by Samuel L. Jackson, dressed as Uncle Sam.
