More Details Emerge About Rich Homie Quan's Death
New details have emerged about the tragic death of Rich Homie Quan, revealed in a police report.
A report, obtained by 11Alive, states that the “Lifestyle” rapper was initially found at his Atlanta home “asleep on the floor by the kitchen with food in his mouth” by his brother Andre Munford in the early hours of September 5.
A few hours later, Quan’s girlfriend, Amber Williams, woke up to find him lying on the couch. She left the house to drop her kids off at school.
When she returned, Quan was still in the same spot on the couch. Thinking he was just sleeping, she went back upstairs to their bedroom to get some more rest, according to the report.
Upon waking up, Williams checked on Quan around 11 a.m. and noticed his body felt cold, and he didn’t seem to be breathing. She immediately called 911, according to the report.
When the officer arrived, he stated that Rich Homie Quan was unresponsive, showing no signs of being “alert, conscious, or breathing.” The officer also noted there was no suspicion of foul play.
After being moved to a couch, Quan's girlfriend later discovered him cold and not breathing. Emergency services were called, but he was pronounced dead at the hospital. An autopsy has been completed, though the cause of death is still pending further tests.
