Tyler, The Creator Remembers ‘Friend’ Mac Miller With Heartfelt Tribute at Pittsburgh Show

During his Chromakopia Tour stop in Pittsburgh on March 28, 2025, Tyler, The Creator paid tribute to his late friend Mac Miller.
Addressing the crowd at PPG Paints Arena, Tyler said, “What a special place. I had a friend that’s from here. His name was Malcolm. Safe travels, rest in peace to him.”
He reflected on a past visit, sharing, “The last time I was here, he rode me around the city. It was great.”
Tyler dedicated the performance to Mac, receiving a heartfelt response from the audience.
The two previously collaborated in 2013 on the song “O.K.” and Mac appeared on Tyler’s Adult Swim show Loiter Squad.
Mac Miller’s second posthumous album, Balloonerism, was released in January 2025 and includes features from artists like SZA.
