Diddy Adds Young Thug’s Lawyer Brian Steel to Bolster Defense Team

Sean “Diddy” Combs has added high-profile defense attorney Brian Steel to his legal team as he prepares to fight a series of serious criminal charges.
Steel, best known for representing Young Thug in his ongoing RICO case, filed a motion on April 15 to officially join Combs’ defense.
Diddy’s current legal team already includes Marc Agnifilo and Teny Geragos.
Combs is facing charges including sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation for prostitution.
He has pleaded not guilty and is being held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, with prosecutors citing concerns about witness tampering in their argument to deny bail.
Brian Steel drew national attention for his aggressive courtroom style and was briefly jailed for contempt during the Young Thug trial after refusing to reveal a confidential source.
His conviction was later overturned by the Georgia Supreme Court.
Combs’ trial is expected to begin in May, with jury selection set for May 5 and opening statements scheduled for May 12.
Prosecutors allege that Combs used his business empire between 2004 and 2024 to sexually exploit women, including organizing events described as “freak offs” involving male sex workers.
He is also facing multiple civil lawsuits from both women and men accusing him of sexual abuse.
Sources say Combs is looking to add a Black female attorney to his defense team, possibly as a strategic move to diversify his representation.
His lawyers maintain that the allegations are false and financially motivated, pointing to past consensual relationships.
With Steel now on board, Combs is clearly gearing up for a hard-fought legal battle.
