DJ Akademiks Fires Back at Charlamagne Tha God for Mocking His Drake Coverage
DJ Akademiks has fired back at Charlamagne Tha God after The Breakfast Club host mocked his coverage of Drake’s legal battle with iHeartMedia and Universal Music Group (UMG).
During a livestream, Akademiks criticized Charlamagne for downplaying the lawsuit, pointing out that iHeartMedia, which owns The Breakfast Club, had a vested interest in the case.
Akademiks argued that Drake’s petition was not dropped due to lack of merit but because the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) got involved, giving the case more weight.
He also blamed radio stations and lack of label support for Drake’s recent struggles on the Billboard Hot 100.
