DJ Akademiks went off on YesJulz after she criticized his credibility as a music journalist.

The controversy started when Akademiks admitted he didn’t know who producer F1LTHY was while covering Playboi Carti’s new album MUSIC.

YesJulz took to Twitter, saying, “Not knowing F1LTHY is one of Carti’s main collaborators in 2025 as a journalist covering hip-hop is surely one way to admit you suck at your job.”

In response, Akademiks erupted into an expletive-filled rant on his livestream, personally attacking YesJulz instead of addressing her criticism.
