Kendrick Lamar Announces Title and Release Date for His Upcoming Film

Kendrick Lamar has officially revealed the title and release date for his upcoming film, Whitney Springs.

The movie, co-produced with South Park co-creator Trey Parker and longtime collaborator Dave Free, is set to premiere on July 11 via Paramount+.

The film follows a Black man interning as a slave re-enactor at a living history museum who discovers that his white girlfriend’s ancestors once owned his. While it’s unclear if Kendrick will have an acting role, his name appears alongside stars Chloe East and Celeste Octavia on the official poster.
