Spotify has responded to Snoop Dogg’s claim that he only earned $45,000 from a billion streams, calling it inaccurate.

In a statement to TMZ Hip Hop, a Spotify spokesperson clarified that a billion streams typically generate millions of dollars for rights holders.

Snoop recently announced that he is moving his catalog to Tune.FM, a blockchain-based streaming platform, in response to what he sees as unfair payouts.
