Tay-K Gets 80-Year Prison Sentence for San Antonio Murder

Texas rapper Tay-K, born Taymor McIntyre, has been sentenced to 80 years in prison for the 2017 murder of photographer Mark Anthony Saldivar.
This is his second murder conviction.
He is already serving a 55-year sentence for a 2016 home invasion that led to the death of Ethan Walker.
The new sentence will run concurrently with the previous one, meaning both sentences will be served at the same time.
Tay-K will be eligible for parole after serving 30 years.
Saldivar was killed during an attempted robbery in San Antonio.
At the time, Tay-K was on the run, having cut off his ankle monitor while on house arrest for the earlier murder case.
While on the run, he released “The Race,” a song that went viral and brought national attention to his case.
He is currently being held in Bexar County Jail in San Antonio, Texas.
