Travis Scott Opens Up About His Current Relationship With Kanye West Amid Kanye Dissing Him

Travis Scott and Kanye West have shared a complex relationship built on years of collaboration, mentorship, and recent tension.

While Kanye has publicly voiced frustration—accusing Travis of removing his vocals from sessions in Wyoming—Scott has taken a more measured tone.

In a recent Complex interview, Travis reflected on their early bond. “Sh*t, man. That’s my kid’s uncle. That guy took me in when I was young, when I was like 19,” he said. “He taught me a lot about music. And not even just ‘taught’ me, but he allowed me to experience the creation of music.”

He credited West with helping him grow creatively. “To create music with him, it’s what helped me grow, making a lot of beats. Whether it’s writing and collabing on music and film or clothes or whatever the f*ck it is, just constantly learning.”

Though their dynamic may be strained now, Travis’s words reflect deep respect and lasting creative influence. Even when Kanye began spiraling on social media, Scott had nothing bad to say.

Scott also touched on other topics in the same interview, including his upcoming album JACKBOYS 2 and new music from Sheck Wes.
